How does it all work? Commissioning A Mural or Faux Finish

We will begin by discussing ideas with you. Considering that this is a collaboration, your ideas are important to us so start saving photographs and magazine pages of rooms, finishes, or colors that you like. We will measure the area we will be either faux finishing or painting the mural on and tell you the cost of the project. After you have accepted the proposal of the cost, we will schedule a date for your project and create a sample of the finish or fine tune the sketches for a mural.

We can very closely estimate the time it will take to complete each project, but if the project must be completed by a certain date you should allow extra time. Window treatments must be removed before we begin and the furniture moved away from each wall approximately four feet towards the center of the room. Be sure that all repairs to areas have been completed before we arrive. We will perform our normal surface preparations and apply appropriate primers before beginning.

Project fees are determined individually as each project is custom and they are based on the size of the project, the technique used (level of difficulty) and the materials needed to complete the project. Prior to our beginning the project, a deposit of half of the total amount is due before work will begin. The remaining half is due upon completion of the project. If items are added to a mural during the project, a "change order" will be created for each item added.
